Day 14 - June 19th

Had planned to go to a hot air balloon race this morning.  They cancelled it due to high winds about 20-30 feet in the air.  Trees were pretty still down at our level.  Upon leaving the fairgrounds we turned the corner and found a church having early service.  It was very uplifting with this large congregation worshipping the Lord.  After church we travelled to Four Corners and onto the Natural Bridges.
The scenery along the way to Four Corners

Here we are at the Four Corners Monument

Standing in all 4 states, well, almost.  Colorado,  Utah, Arizona and New Mexico

Driving to Natural Bridges

Amazing how these formations were made!

Left here and travelled to Lake Powell.  We camped in Hite on the edge of Lake Powell.  A group of girls camping there locked their keys in the car.  Blake to the rescue!

Day 11 - June 16th

Sorry, days seem to blend together.  I was off count and should be on track now.  It sure would make it easy to have high speed internet each day.
Off to Mesa Verde.  A place where the indians lived in the sides of the cliffs.  They farmed on top of the mesa.  I would not have lasted here.  Using ropes and ladders to get down the cliff to my home?  This trip has been a challenge for someone who is afraid of heights.

Wild horses.

Spruce tree house.  Not as high as some.

Left Mesa Verde traveling to the Arches and Canyonlands.

Day 9 - June 15th

Traveling from camping in Ouray to Silverton, Colorado.  Wonderful mountains and landscapes.

Still some leftover snow.

The One Hundred Year Old Mine.

The miners bunkhouse.

The western town of Silverton.

Ethan in trouble.

Another spectacular view.
